Artwork
Sending Files
If you need to send us your own artwork files for use on your project, please email or send them through standard mail directly to your project manager and they will route them to our art department. File sizes for email should not exceed 10 MB.
File Types
We prefer to have vector based files that are created in programs such as Adobe Illustrator (.ai or .eps) and CorelDraw (.cdr) We can use files from Illustrator CS2 or lower and CorelDraw 11 or lower.
We can accept pixel based files for items that will be digitally printed. These would be files from programs such as Adobe Photoshop (.jpg, .tif and .bmp) The resolution for these files should be no less than 100dpi at the full print size. Images taken from websites, Microsoft Word or Microsoft Powerpoint typically do not fit this criteria (the resolution of these images is too low) and they usually cannot be used.
Fonts
All fonts in these files should be "converted to curves" or "outlines" so that the original font files will not be needed.
Color Matching
If the colors in your artwork need to be matched exactly, please provide us with a printed color proof or PMS color numbers to match to.
Other Options
If you have problems finding files that are usable, be sure to check with the company that prints your business cards and/or company letterhead. They can usually provide your logo in the format that we would require.
We also provide in-house art services and can create or recreate artwork for you in a format that can be used for your signage. The fee for this service is based on the complexity of the artwork and the time it would take to create it. Your project manager can provide you with a quote.
FTP Upload
We have been asked about making an FTP site available for uploading files that are too big to email. This is something we are working on and it will be added to the website in the very near future.
